Goal and shared rules

Four players compete individually, each with 13 cards from a full deck. The match contains deals with different scoring rules. The highest total wins. Each player contributes one card to a trick. Follow suit if possible; otherwise play any card. Without trump, the highest card of the led suit wins, with ace high and two low. The winner leads next.

Seven penalty deals

The penalties in order are: no tricks, minus 20 per trick; no hearts, minus 20 per heart; no queens, minus 60 per queen; no kings or jacks, minus 30 each; no king of hearts, minus 150 for that card; no seventh or last trick, minus 75 for each; robber, all previous penalties combined. The player taking the trick receives its card penalties.

Restrictions on leading

In no hearts, no king of hearts and robber, you cannot lead a heart while holding another suit. This restriction concerns leading a trick, not following to one already started.

Trump deals

If enabled, four positive deals follow, awarding 25 points per trick. The dealer chooses trump after seeing only the first five cards, then receives the rest. The highest trump wins a trick, but a player unable to follow suit is not obliged to trump.

Domino round and finish

The optional final round builds suit sequences instead of tricks. The dealer plays any card, setting a shared starting rank for all suits. Add the immediately lower or higher card to either end of its suit sequence, or open another suit with that starting rank. Turns without legal cards are skipped automatically. The first player out scores 800 and the second 500; the deal ends when the third goes out. After all enabled deals, the highest total wins, with tied leaders sharing the win.
