Goal and setup

Two players have 20 men each on the dark squares of a 10×10 board. White moves first. Win by leaving the opponent without pieces or without a legal move. This is a separate variant from the 8×8 Checkers game.

Goal and setup

Moving men and kings

A man moves one empty square diagonally forward. A king can move any distance along an unobstructed diagonal. You cannot jump over friendly pieces. Select a piece and a legal route.

Moving men and kings

Compulsory longest capture

Men capture forwards or backwards by jumping an adjacent opponent onto the empty square beyond. Kings may reach an opponent farther along a diagonal and land on an empty square beyond it. If captures exist, choose a sequence taking the greatest number of pieces. Equally long routes are your choice; a king has no automatic priority merely for being a king.

Compulsory longest capture

A sequence is one move

Continue with the same piece until its legal capture sequence is complete. Captured pieces are removed only at the end, so they remain obstacles during the sequence. A piece cannot be captured twice. A man becomes a king if the complete move ends on the last rank; merely passing through that rank during a sequence is not enough.

A sequence is one move

Draws and ending

The engine recognises threefold repetition and 25 moves by both sides consisting only of king moves without captures. Certain reduced-material endings also have shorter limits of 16 or 5 moves, depending on the remaining pieces. You can agree a draw, request a takeback when enabled, or resign. Running out of time ends the game.
